Located in vibrant Te Aro, Wellington, the Mary Potter Hospice Shop – Cuba Street serves as a meaningful destination for shoppers who want to support a worthy cause. While experiences vary, this store offers unique items with proceeds helping hospice care. It’s a place where community spirit meets the joy of discovering secondhand treasures. Whether you’re browsing or donating, this shop plays an important role in Wellington’s charitable landscape.

2 months agoThe pricing at this shop is ludicrous, 250 for a blazer, 40 for a jumper. Everything they get is free yet priced so high that people who rely on op shops can't even afford it. Genuinely disgusting and I cannot even see how they are still open or why people tolerate these prices.

7 months agoAn op shop is supposed to be shopping for people who can’t afford brand new items. $10 for a pair of worn leggings is absurd, $7 for a used kitchen bowl….. the prices here are shocking and the lady at the counter was very abrasive. Don’t bother shopping here if you are looking for a good deal. Another money hungry “charity”

2 months agoThere are a lot of things they sell, but the price itself is a bit high for used. While most are lower than new, some are priced similar to the newer ones.

a year agoI don't particularly like writing negative reviews, especially for a charity shop but then I'm not sure I'd place it as charity. I had become unwell and not able to work or take an income for a few months so visited the Op Shop for some at home clothes. I picked a plain, black pair of track pants, got to the counter and was told they were $70. I thought it was a mistake! The manager was incredibly rude to me expressing rather loudly that all funds were to help cancer patients and that I should not complain about it. I just bought the pants and left. Got home and found they were badly piled on the bottom. She made incorrect judgements of me, was rude, talked down to me AND ripped me off. I think I'll stick to the surrounding MPH shops in the region, all of which offer a fantastic service and quality without exorbitant pricing.
