I love the architecture of this church. The oldest church in Auckland which was relocated to Symonds street and rebuilt.

Attended a ball here. It was a great venue with a decent floor & ample space for the live band. Easy access & central location. There is limited street parking, but a parking building nearby.

My wife, kids and I have been part of St Paul's for over 17 years. It felt like home the first time we stepped in the building, and has been home ever since. Together we continue to create a contemporary community of service, within our city's first church, within our 2,000 year old Christian faith. Everyone's welcome to join us. Nau mai haere mai.

During my very enjoyable 3 week holiday to NZ ( ending 4/12/23:) I visited two places of worship for Sunday services. One of them , at the unusual start time of 3pm was at St Paul's Auckland. Very quiet with plenty of excellent stained glass windows ... Good chat with minister Nathan afterwards as he'd been to Durham UK before , my home City( small world ! ) I had to laugh when the guest preacher was introduced as Silly at this , the earliest of the 3 eucharists they celebrate on a Sunday , ie 8am ! I looked at this lady and thought to myself, that's a bit harsh ! .... you look pretty sensible to me !! ... In truth she was called Sally , not Silly which begs the question... How do new Zealanders pronounce the word silly (as in daft ?!! )) Back to the actual service , the first Sunday in Advent. A beautifully conducted affair on 26/11/23 .That passed off quickly and seamlessly with all hymns being led by a most impressive young man who , not only had a strong voice , but a lively personality particularly during his marvellous rendition of ' Amazing Grace ' Please find enclosed a photo of the church . Unusually the church was set in a very much urban setting in Auckland ( North Island ) A very worthwhile visit undertaken on 26 November 2023. Thanks , Ellis Coxon. .
