a week agoWent on a Thursday, a week day. Large cathedral, bigger than expected. It did have some construction ongoing outside so that did affect the pictures of the building. Staff and volunteers inside were friendly and happy to tell you a lot about the history, for free. Ticket office staff also helpful explaining the differences in tickets. Very quick and easy. Cathedral probably needs two visits and definitely a tour guide to fully appreciate. There is a cafe and restaurant, and even a hotel. Toilet facilities were adequate. Good places to sit and read if you need a break also. Definitely will return.

a month agoCanterbury Cathedral is absolutely breathtaking. From the stunning stained glass windows to the grand architecture, every corner tells a story. The atmosphere is peaceful yet powerful, and walking through its ancient halls feels like stepping back in time. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply experiencing something truly awe-inspiring. The audio guide was helpful too. Don’t miss the cloisters!

a week agoAmazing Cathedral. Lots of history and beautiful architecture. The grounds are nice too.First visit since 2019. Admission price at £21 a bit expensive, but there would be no Cathedral without the upkeep.

2 weeks agoAn amazing cathedral. They have a very good media guide (at an additional cost, £5 each when I went, but well worth it) which is an excellent way of finding your way around and not missing any of the good bits! My 12 year old granddaughter was fascinated and wants to go back. So much history and so much to see. Allow yourself plenty of time!

3 weeks agoGreat visit to Canterbury. Will have to visit a second time, lots to see. Had a boat trip. Would recommend, short but full of historical facts. Cathedral was good, only saw part as it was Graduation day. They still charged the full price though.
