4 months agoI recently completed a survey of this shop and intend using this review to add to it. My main concern us that some of the meat specials are in a cabinet behind the check out which you only see after checking out. Not good planning. The other concern I have is about this meat cabinet and what assurance do NW staff have that if I ducked down before doing my shopping to get some of the meat specials behind checkout, that I am not going to walk out the door with the goods. I don't think that has been very well planned

2 years agoMuch cheaper prices than AKL. Just one thing is like there was a staff member staring at us in the car park while we were trying to have a quick bite to eat that I'd purchased from New World. I actually thought it was a real estate photo because he was staring that long in one spot. We just felt uncomfortable and left.

2 months agoService has dropped big time. Me and my family have been shopping here since Write Price in the early 90s. The Majority of customers are 55+ and I see a lot of elderly customers having to lift heavy bags into their trolleys on their own cause staff are too worried about the next customer. All this New World is good for is the deli and bakery thats it.

10 months agoNew world in Whanganui was clean and tidy and very helpful staff. The only thing that let them down was the catering sandwiches I ordered. The looked great and mostly tasted great but had obviously been made too early as the sandwich bread on the outside were very dry. A little disappointed.
