Disappointing Experience at Countdown I recently visited Countdown and purchased a chocolate banana bread. Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered a strange, unpleasant smell of chicken mixed in with the bread. This was incredibly off-putting and completely ruined the experience. I expected fresh, high-quality baked goods, but this was far from it. Very disappointed.

Many employees/reps/merch leave this store due to some of the managers attittudes and moral blocking and common sense issues.Note a good chunk of the friendly staff reps/merch etc are gone in past couple of years.

There is no negative rating unfortunately. I am continuously getting spoiled and rotten items from Countdown , Woolworth supermarkets. No shame to sell these items and cheat customers. I purchased lime packets. 4 out of 6 were rotten. Last week there was a price difference from what was written on shelf for mixed nuts, at billing counter they just apologised and charged me higher price. Not recommending countdown at all . I quit.

Food options seem to be less, especially in the meat and Deli. I have been into other Woolworths both in and out of town and they seem to be much better stocked. I assume supply issues or limited staff to fill shelves? I just know it is not as good as it once was. I have been going there since it opened, but feel forced to go elsewhere at times when I'd much rather support what's in my area.
