a month agoGenerally good overall, delicatessen staff are always friendly and chatty. Check out operators not so friendly. Good range, reason for only two stars is prices - way more than they should be when you compare to Pak n Save and overseas supermarkets.

a month agoSupermarket itself is ok, range good but compared to Pak N Save Richmond, it’s not even in the same league. Still had to pack our own groceries and checkout operator started serving the next person before we had a chance to get our items, ended up just chucking all our items back in the trolly and packing at the car. Not a great experience and definitely won’t be back.

6 months agoVisiting NZ and 1st time shopping at Woolworths. Great selection and everything was good until we checked out. It appears you need a loyalty card to get many of the discounts. Being here temporary and with my phone unable to down the app I would think the store would use the store card when asked. New World provided me with a visitor card which I used. The cashier ended up asking customers around us to use their card which one did. The cashier was very accommodating and friendly. To the manager who was going to reprimand the cashier all I can say is DON'T! You have a lot of visitors on holiday here and to require them to have a loyalty card to get the discounts is in my opinion a lost opportunity! 1st Woolworths went out of business a long time ago where I live so tracking my purchases is a waste of time and money. 2nd you should provide your cashiers with a card for these circumstances like this. I would have given the store a 5 star had it not been for this issue at the end. Had it not been for your cashier taking action I would have just walked out, leaving ALL the groceries there for some else to put back just for the point. You should talk to your managers to think out of the box like the cashier did in my situation. You may want to promote him!!
