a week agoArrived at 8:48pm. The supermarket is already closed. Please could check your website and signage outside the store to confirm it corresponds to the correct closing times. If you close at ten minutes to 9pm, that is all good, please update the store hours on the website, carpark entrance, front windows and till receipts. Have a nice evening, from Miss Hannah Nicole.

a month agoMy 5 star rating goes to the Checkout staff, they are friendly and efficient. I will never use the self service. I work in retail and at the end of my day, the last thing I want to do is serve myself. The overall look of the shop needs a major clean up. The chicken in the meat department, should look like chicken, not something that looks like it's been run over 10 times. Mince I prefer more meat not more blood. The wild life that dart in and out of aisles, need to be addressed. You sell mouse traps and peanut butter. If Woolworths weren't so expensive I would go there. Much nicer store.

2 months agoRegular Pak n Save. Always well stocked and clean. Be careful when getting their chicken nibbles. Got sick off some that seemed like they were from the previous day as I got them early in the morning but they were dry. The cheese toasties are excellent though

4 months agoDay before Anzac Day car park was so packed. We're in a bus and usually take a park we'll away from the building but even they were full. Parked on the road behind store, paid parking, do pay as I was told the fines are $70. Great supermarket, had everything we needed and more, great service. Super busy and always is we were told.

2 months agoHad enough of this place, I don't mind being stopped by security. It's how I'm stopped by security that's the issue. The food quality here never matchs how exspensive it has become, better of spending the bit extra and getting edible food from any of the other supermarkets in Whangarei. Constantely seeing rats dart in and out of the packaging area and it has never been dealt with. But this store can afford to hire abusive "security". Looking at other negative reviews it seems this has been an issue for months, doesn't suprise me at all that it hasn't been remedied. This joke of a supermarket would also rather have self serve checkouts than employ New Zealanders, yet another reason why I hate it. Proudly New Zealand owned and yet overcharges people here for food that has likely had rats rest on it since the turnover is not high enough. The three strikes for me where: 1: Rotten meat that was overpriced. Solution: Buy from butcher instead. 2: Seeing rats go in and out of the packing area. Solution: Get pest control to deal with actual pests instead of hiring security that is a pest to customers. 3: Abusive security and assumed profiling. Solution: Make it so food is affordable again or better yet, employ people so they can afford the food instead of using the self check outs eliminating the need for security. Doubt I will ever get a response or feedback to this, but I'm livid with this place and would rather go anywhere else but here.
