a month agoNice modern well stoked Supermarket, friendly helpful staff & good customer service. But the prices are astronomical, these guys sorely need some competition! Scalping the locals & tourists alike and don’t even offer the gold card discount for seniors, the most vulnerable in our community

2 months agoBeen going here for quite some time now and always seems to amaze me how they never stock the single coffee flavor I want... Irish coffee 😭. Every supermarket in the country stocks it except this store in every brand. They have every other flavor. It's like they don't like it 🥲.

5 months agoIt’s a supermarket, everyone’s pretty friendly and they have food to buy. Can’t complain with any of that. More options for paying with cash (quickly) are needed though. The two current options are: 1. Use one of the few staffed check out lanes that are actually ever open, although there are maybe 8 that could be open, I don’t think I’ve ever seen more than 3 operating at one time? 2. Use the one self checkout machine that accepts cash. Unfortunately, it also accepts cards so the person you’re waiting for to do their weekly shopping on the one cash accepting self checkout machine while you’re just trying to buy a single bottle of milk, isn’t even using cash on the machine 90% of the time. Fixes for this are simple. You could either open more of your staffed check out lanes more often which would shorten waiting times. (I put this option first because I think creating jobs and giving customers a face to face experience with a person is beneficial for all.) Or; More (ideally every) self checkout machines accept both cash or card Or; The one self check out machine that accepts cash, only accepts cash, not cards. For those customers just running in and out to buy a bottle of milk, a sandwich for lunch from the deli or any other single item, I feel as though any of the above 3 suggested improvements would streamline the check out process for all. Just my thoughts and what I’ve noticed since you guys have been open. Other than that, all is well in the land of Mangawhai New World

a week agoVery over priced. $18.99 for block of cheese. 10bucks for butter. You feel like you have been ripped off. I'd shop at super saver from now on
