a week agoIf you want overpriced Asian goods with a side of privacy invasion and theft accusation, this is the store for you. Firstly, this store never seems to have basics like fresh noodles or tofu. But alas it is the only Asian grocer in Northland. But after today’s experience, this is not enough to bring me back. Today after going to Coles, I popped in on the off chance they had kimchi (they didn’t). Upon leaving the girl stopped me to check my bag. I happily obliged but then she actually rifled through my bag and touched all my things (which is illegal). She accused me of stealing frozen sliced beef that I had purchased from Coles. I showed her the reciept and told her she shouldn’t be touching my stuff. She couldn’t see sliced beef on the receipt and when I showed her where it was, she sheepishly ran back to the register. Upon reading the other reviews on here, this is not an isolated incident. Instead of saying sorry, perhaps it’s time to get better security systems in place instead of riffling through your customers belongings and making them feel awful?

a year agoPretty cool store, me and my mother bought some stuff from there. I mean they forced me to rate 5 stars so I decided to listen to them.

4 weeks agoI do volunteer work on the weekends at a nursing home. So i went to this supermarket earlier this evening to purchase some Korean sauces for an elderly Korean resident at the nursing home as a treat. After paying close to $30 dollars for the three bottles of sauce. The shop clerk a short lady with glasses demanded me to open my bag for inspection. I am a professional male in my 40s and it was a humiliating offensive experience for i wasn't browsing or loitering i had just made a purchase. Inexcusable hospitality which will deter me from purchasing anything from there again. It’s just not how you treat paying customers.
