Absolutely outstanding service from Lisa, the checkout manager at Fresh Choice Roslyn, Dunedin. We asked if it was possible to organise a fruit gift basket — something most places would have simply said no to — but Lisa immediately sprang into action. With a can-do attitude and genuine customer care, she made it happen on the spot. We were so impressed by her initiative and professionalism. A real credit to the store. Thank you, Lisa!

Been a customer of this shop and while I find the overall atmosphere pleasant for shopping, I've encountered some challenges with product availability. At times, regular items are out of stock for extended periods (ranging from days to weeks), which is inconvenient given that alternatives at other stores are often more affordable and available. Additionally, I've noticed that 'reduced to clear' labels are sometimes applied to critical ingredients lists which pose difficulties for customers with food allergies: does this product contain who knows ? It's the only one left so I have concerns regarding the shop's safety practices. The Self checkouts are very poor and require constant staff intervention so can't call them "self checkouts" tbh Overall, while the shop is generally pleasant to visit, inconsistent stock levels impact my shopping experience "shame"

Always ask for a receipt, and check it before you leave. In the last 3 years I have been frequenting this supermarket (because its closest to where I live), I have been consistently overcharged on items. Some items may be "Discounted" for example, but charged full price at checkout. I had been given excuse once that self serve machines have some issue, but this happens at regular checkout also. They also tend to be more reasonably more expensive than elsewhere for the same item. They do however have a good range of high end items, and staff friendly in my experience.

Too expensive and their self service machines have problems. I have encountered rude staff multiple times. Once, their self service machine wouldn’t scan a specialty item and the lady yelled at me for doing it wrong, even though the machine wouldn’t read it. I would recommend avoiding that place. Update: I recently went back to this place because it was close and there were several vegetables that were so old and shriveled up, they should have been disposed of a week ago. I bought a capsicum and it was rotten inside. This place is gross.

I usually shop at pak n save count down or New world but decided to try freshchoice,it was pretty good awesome deals and stuff. So pretty underated supermarket 5 star
