7 years agoOne of the best places for your shopping in Invercargill. The best thing is that it is open till midnight. A well arranged place, with great customer service, a great car park and a wide range of products. Veggies are comparatively fresh from other places. Frozen foods are also good when compared to others. All in all Countdown is awesome. I have bought one blender from there, and after 3 months it stopped working. I got to them and without any issues they gave the full refund that I paid for the product. Really good customer service :)

2 months agoNever hire a rug doctor from Invercargill Woolworths, had to wait 15 plus minutes until they would actually help me because they wouldn't stop serving other customers (can understand it takes a 2 minutes to fill out a form) then when they actually got back to me there was "technical difficulties" and couldn't help me. In other words they have kids on checkouts and no one has bothered training. Wasted way too much time. I will never come here again

6 months agoGood place for groceries. Prices are relatively higher than PAK N SAVE. But its a different channel. I don't know why most of the people work in any of the supermarkets in town don't carry a smile.

3 years agoFeels a bit more chaotic than the usual Countdown, maybe because it seems they've just reorganized and everyone is still milling around trying to find stuff. Some things understandably out of stock due to supply chain issues. Four stars regardless because it's a Countdown and you can get your groceries, so it serves its purpose despite the minor chaos.
