2 months agoWoolworths Pokeno is a welcome addition to the rapidly growing township, offering locals a modern, clean, and convenient option for grocery shopping. The store is well-presented, with wide aisles, clear signage, and a layout that makes it easy to find what you need. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, and many locals appreciate having a full-service supermarket close by, especially given how fast Pokeno has been developing in recent years. The store offers all the essentials, including fresh produce, a bakery, a deli, and household items. As a newer store, it still feels fresh and well-maintained, and the shopping experience is usually smooth and relaxed. There’s plenty of parking available, and the location right off the main road makes it easy to access for residents in Pokeno and the surrounding rural areas. Online ordering and click-and-collect options are also available, which adds extra convenience for families and commuters. However, as with many regional supermarkets, the product range can feel a little limited at times. While the basics are well-covered, those looking for more variety or specialty items might still need to travel to larger centres like Pukekohe or South Auckland. There have also been occasional reports of stock running low after weekends or busy periods, especially on popular promotional items. Overall, Woolworths Pokeno provides a much-needed and reliable grocery option for the local community. It’s clean, convenient, and well-run, and while it may not have the full range of a city-based store, it delivers on the essentials with friendly service and an easy shopping experience. For a growing town like Pokeno, it’s a key part of the area’s retail development.

3 months agoNormally I love going here but have found some of the newer staff not as obliging as staff that have been their quite a while. Highly recommend the blonde bubbly girl that is sometimes on, think she is Sam or Sofie. The older shorter lady is always kind, helpful, sorry I am not sure of her name.

6 months agoI have been shopping at this store for a few years now. The staff are helpful, and the store is well laid out, modern, and efficient. However, lately, I have been really frustrated by the lack of pricing on items and the incorrect placement of products with misleading price tags. Just yesterday, I purchased a value pack of dog treats. The price was clearly displayed as “$5.60 on offer” right in front of it. However, when I got home, I realised I had actually been charged $13.60! In edition some special offers are frankly nonsensical when it comes to weight and price. Cadbury’s chocolate being a classic example of this. Where are the savings? Because when you do the math there aren’t any most of the time. Inflate prices high then drop to what is fair and convince us it’s a “special” Please ensure, first and foremost, that prices are correctly displayed. Your company is not reacting to the cost of living crisis out there and these kinds of issues as an addition re your expensive groceries are not helpful.
