a month agoIt's is very nice shop with a nice variety of products. However be wary of their Vetro Brand pine nuts. The pine nuts are of very low grade and quality. I believe they are Pine Armandii. The pine nuts are discolored, with dark tip. The tip appears to be some form of a residual husk. When consumed, the pine nuts are bitter and the tip is distasteful. I strongly recommend discontinuing the product line or replacing the current pine nut with a higher grade. Otherwise in my eyes the pine nuts dilute and undermines the perceived quality of your brand since your reputation is built on having a selection of the finest quality products. In fact there are other 3 star reviews. I have downgraded the rating to 2 stars for lying. I did return the pine nuts to your store yesterday. I was told today by your staff that this is the quality of the pine nuts. I accepted that. They asked if I wanted the pine nuts back, I told them no thank you and that they were free to have them. I also provided the staff with a sample of the pine nuts we normally consume. They agreed that the pine nuts I brought to your shop were better in every way. My sample was purchased from Pak N Save. I believe the price is similar at around $100 / kg. Also, I did purchase the NZ pine nuts yesterday to try them. They had a very strong flavour, but no quality compliant.
