2 months agoWoolworths Northcote, located within the Northcote Shopping Centre on Auckland’s North Shore, is a convenient and well-used supermarket for locals in the area. The store is clean and easy to navigate, with a simple layout and all the basics well covered. Shoppers generally appreciate the friendly staff and the calm, community-focused feel of the place. It’s ideal for quick top-ups or midweek shopping, especially if you live nearby or are passing through the local shops and eateries. Because it’s a smaller branch compared to those in larger retail centres, the product range at Woolworths Northcote can be somewhat limited. While everyday essentials and fresh produce are usually available, those after specialty items or bulk options may need to head to Glenfield or Wairau Park. Stock levels can also vary depending on the time of day or week, especially when promotional items are involved. Pricing is on par with other Woolworths stores, but some shoppers still compare it to larger competitors for better variety or deals. One of the key benefits of this location is the easy access and convenient parking, with plenty of spots right outside the entrance. The surrounding shopping centre includes a mix of small retailers, food outlets, and essential services, making it a useful one-stop spot for errands. Overall, Woolworths Northcote offers a straightforward and reliable shopping experience. It might not have the size or range of a larger store, but it makes up for it with convenience, friendly service, and a local feel that suits the community. It’s a solid option for everyday groceries without the hassle of a crowded mall.

7 months agoOne of the early Countdown stores, nicely situated in the Northcote shopping centre area. Parking are part of the shopping centre. Pricing are typical Countdown. Interior has been modernised and now it feel refreshing. Staff members are helpful, and variety are quite good.

3 months agoThe service at this supermarket is the worst among all the Woolworths stores! I don’t know what those cashiers are being so arrogant about. I even suspect there might be some racial discrimination! If you think you’re so great, then why are you even working here? Wouldn’t it be better to stay home and count your money? Oh right, you have to work because you don’t have money… It’s ridiculous to act like this in New Zealand. You are just service staff — you’re not superior to anyone else. So I suggest you show some humility and be kind!

2 months agoBad management and service 😓, I brought this thing and at check out found out price is wrong and asked for refund, and the cashier said “but you’ve already paid for it.”??????? SO WHAT, I can’t get a refund because I already paid? Lame.

3 months agoA very racist supermarket. An old asian lady was unable to pay as her card was declined and had no idea whats going on. She was obvious to have little to no english skills. The till lady kept yelling at her and yelled towards other checkout staff saying “hey she forgot her pin number, how can she be so stupid” and all other staffs chanted and laughed hard out in front of everyone. Don’t go here if you value your very existence as a human being
