Situated on Gravatt Road in Papamoa Beach, Double Teaspoons is a cafe that appeals to families and casual diners alike. The highlight for many is their Eggs Benedict with salmon, praised for its silky hollandaise and perfectly cooked fish, making it a top choice for breakfast enthusiasts. The big breakfast is another favorite, valued for freshness and generous portions. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and relaxed, family-friendly environment, although some note limited vegan options. Waffles loaded with fresh berries and affordable pricing add to the appeal. While minor critiques exist, the overall sentiment is positive, making Double Teaspoons a reliable spot for a tasty and comfortable meal in Papamoa Beach.

3 months agoSuper fair pricing for the waffles, great bang for your buck! Loved the amount of berries on mine!! My criticism is banana left in the skin was weird as one side wasn’t as soft or caramelised and my partners iced coffee was given in a plastic takeaway cup when we were dining in, was delicious tho! The hot chocolate was ok, more foam on top would’ve been nice. However would go back and would recommend, staff were super friendly😊

a month agoAbsolutely loved our visit to this cafe today. Came in with my family and we enjoyed the food and service. I had the Eggs Benedict with salmon, hands down the best I’ve ever had! The hollandaise was silky and rich, and the salmon was perfectly cooked. We also tried the Big Breakfast, which was actually big, fresh, and delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed and family friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

2 weeks agoSaturday 9/08/25 Ordered at 11am. No one arrived before me. Received it 25mins later after they had served a couple who came after me. Not happy. My brunch was mostly cold. They cooked 1 poached egg. Cost $30 Not happy. Will not return to this cafe.

a month agoFriendly service but they have zero vegan options apart from fries. They couldn't even make something for us like a mushroom dish without dairy. But the coffee and tea is nice and the prices are good value for the non vegan food.

4 months agoFirst coffee experience in Papamoa and saw that they're giving out hot chocolate for kids for every large coffee during school holidays. Ask for hot chocolate for my son, but I was told that it doesn't apply on Anzac day, as it was a public holiday and not a school holiday. Decided not to argue with the staff cause he was quite dismissive about it.
