a week agoI visited here in May booking a table for 4. From first stepping into Cafe Istanbul I felt like I was actually transported to another country. Surrounded by beautiful turkish decorations from traditional mosaic lighting, to decorative bowls and cushioning in the seating. I can see why they are so busy as they were packed especially being that the food is soo tasty, the sauces the salad the tender meat were so delicious. I loved the atmosphere, the vibe and of course the food. This is my new favorite 😍

2 months agoI’ve been to Cafe Istanbul before and loved their kebabs, but this time I tried their pizza—and it was amazing! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, the toppings were fresh, and the cheese was melted just right. Every bite was full of flavor! This is a family-run restaurant, and you can really see the care they put into their food. Everything—from the pizza to the kebabs and side dishes—is made with the freshest ingredients and tastes incredible. If you’re looking for authentic Turkish cuisine, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

5 months agoCafe Istanbul is like a hidden Istanbul street in the heart of Tauranga. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a cultural ambassador. The chandeliers, seats, cushions, and fabrics reflect Turkish culture. If you’re looking for an authentic and unforgettable Turkish cuisine experience in Tauranga, you should definitely visit Cafe Istanbul. By the way, I must say I have never seen a cleaner restaurant. The staff constantly use hand sanitizers, and the service equipment and restrooms are spotlessly clean.
