This was an great place to visit the gardens were nice and there were many trails to follow throughout the gardens. You can buy bags of food for the birds and feed the wild birds. They will all run to you for food and will enen fly onto your arms and head. There are birds everywhere to feed.

We stopped at the bird garden after seeing the signpost on SH2. It was a great break from a long drive, whether you need coffee, drinks, food, or just a walk in a peaceful garden setting. Also, easy access from main road. For a small entry fee and only $2 for bird feed we roamed around the winding pathways and lovely gardens, with ducks, chickens, pigeons, doves, Guinea fowl and a couple of spectacular peacocks. All very used to people it seemed. The host was also very friendly and welcoming!
