Located right in the center of Rotorua, Kuirau Park offers a remarkable experience as a free, public thermal park that captivates visitors with its natural geothermal features. Unlike the more colorful thermal attractions nearby, this park charms with expansive lawns, soothing foot baths, and a variety of bubbling thermal pools that create a relaxing environment perfect for an afternoon retreat. Visitors often spend hours wandering the easy trails, soaking their feet, and admiring the ever-changing thermal landscape. Loved for its accessibility and peaceful ambiance, Kuirau Park is a standout destination for anyone wanting to connect with Rotorua’s geothermal heritage without the crowds. Whether you’re out for a leisurely walk or looking to unwind in natural hot pools, this park offers a unique and refreshing way to experience the city’s natural wonders.

in the last weekA nice public park with geothermal activity on one end and kids playground on the other. There is also a geothermal foot spa where people can soak their feet. Every Saturday morning the Rotary club organizes a market with food stalls and other. A must visit if in Rotorua. A great place to bring your family for a morning out.
