a week agoPukehina Beach is such a beautiful and peaceful spot! 🏖️ The long stretch of sandy beach is perfect for walking, running, or just relaxing while listening to the waves. It’s never too crowded, which makes it feel like your own private slice of coastline. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning—golden skies melting into the ocean—and the sunrises are equally magical if you’re an early riser. 🌅 The water is clear, and on calm days it’s great for swimming, while the waves make it fun for surfers and boogie boarders. It’s also a lovely place for shell collecting, fishing, and just enjoying the fresh sea air. The local community is friendly, and there’s a real sense of laid-back Kiwi beach life here. Whether you’re here for a quiet picnic, a family day out, or just some time to clear your mind, Pukehina Beach is a perfect coastal escape. While coming back from the Whakatāne we just wanted to see this place and we stopped it lovely spot ❤️

3 years agoOvernight Camping for 3-4 self contained vehicles on the grass area at the back of the carpark. Toilet is about a 450 meter walk away opposite the shop/takeways at Seabreeze park. Good views of the beach and nice quiet spot. Locals were all friendly.

6 years agoA beautiful little park with walking access to the beach, also for quad bike's etc. The sea was extremely calm though this could have been due to the large number of quakes which were being recorded at or around White Island at the time. A number of people out fishing from the beach, either using a torpedo long line or surf casting.
