5 years agoA Magpie family stole my gloves and my beanie when I was walking through the lawn - minding my own business. In my haste to pursue the Magpies, I took a tumble on the lawn and two Magpies stole my wallet. Over the next four days a series of purchases were made at stores across the Wellington region purchasing vast quantities of birdseed and shiny objects. I have been left $7,634 dollars out of pocket and the Wellington City Council has shown no interest in reimbursing me. Overall the Magpie Lawn had good scenery and a nice 'vibe'. However, my experience was less than the best due to the aforementioned magpie incident. I will not be returning due to this and I will tell my friends to avoid this area.
