2 years agoQuite some time ago I was feeling very lost due to the Government shutting down all Churches over a certain size due to co***, and I wasn’t getting very good spiritual food from the Church that I was attending at the time, At this Church the teaching is “Exegetical” Put simply, it is the process of discovering the original and intended meaning of a passage of scripture. When considering the importance of knowing truth, I really enjoy being part of this Church I have grown so much in my faith and have been challenged so much in what I do each day everyone is friendly and welcoming.

2 years agoI'm a member at FBC and have been attending there for several years. It's a family-like community of believers and always happy to have more join us! The teaching on Sundays and throughout the week is Christ-centred and biblical.

5 years agoI first attended this church about four years ago after church hopping for awhile as I was new to BOP. Nothing really quenched my thirst until I came here. Sadly I was away for some time doing a different work experience in the south island. When I came back to BOP I ended up in another church. This church I discovered was spiritually dead! But praise God he has brought me back to Focus. The gospel is presented here in all its glorious truth....no compromise! And that dear friends is what it's all about.....THE TRUTH. You won't find no fluffy Jesus here! The whole truth and nothing but the truth. Its difficult to find a passionate pastor who understands what a pastor is meant to be and takes his God given responsibility very seriously. I'm very blessed to be back here and looking forward to growing in Christ Jesus my Lord and saviour.

2 years agoI am blessed to be part of this warm, caring and welcoming church family - we are enriched by solid bible based teaching, and worship in a place where the love and devotion for our Saviour surrounds us. I am a relative newcomer, but FBC is home. .
