Mitre 10 MEGA Napier

Very big Mitre 10, the name suggests. The Mitre 10 staff team also never fails to answer questions about their products well.

Bought an edge trimmer and a chainsaw. Really helpful staff. Specific shout out to Zach who explained the products and helped us choose one that would suit our garden. Checkout staff always cheerful and friendly.

Some of the longer serving female checkout staff are not customer friendly and I prefer to go out to Hastings Mega. Store staff are good.

My father and I often make trips here whenever we're undertaking renovations back at home or even jumping in to see what deals are in stock. However, today, I had an unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. When I asked for help locating an item, the worker, who appeared to be in his late 50s or early 60s with grey hair, gave me the aisle number but rudely refused to assist me further. He repeatedly said, "Nobody's gonna take you there," in a dismissive tone, which made me feel uncomfortable. What baffled me even more was that, just before I spoke to him, I had been waiting while he casually chatted with another customer. I understand that staff may not always be able to personally guide customers, but the way he handled the situation felt unhelpful and dismissive. A more polite and professional approach would have made a big difference. I’ve always appreciated this store, but experiences like this make the shopping environment less welcoming. Hopefully, customer service improves to reflect the otherwise great aspects of this place.

Total waste of time. Got told no dogs when we take our dog to our local mitre 10 whenever we go. Here on a holiday but won’t be spending my cash here. The way the woman shouted across the store, which made everyone turn and look to see what the problem was, was not required. A sorry we don’t allow dogs in this store in a normal voice, would have been sufficient, rather than shouting and a sign on the door could be much more useful!!
