a year agoMy impression was 4 October was a bit too early date for a visit, and a few weeks later would be the best time for most colorful surrounding. The garden is well worth visiting for a two-three hour slow walk among that beauty! Drove further to Mangaweka after that, and that was another bonus! One year later, got there in mid-October, after rainy days, enjoyed again, just want to add: be prepared for some very wet spots, like the maze!

3 years agoAcclaimed gardens, comparable to the best from around the world. Famous for rhododendrons but so much more on show. Well labeled specimens amongst an arboretum of mature trees. Thank you to the family and staff who gift us the pleasure of visiting.
