As someone who shops at Bunnings stores nationwide, I have to say the team here stands out as the friendliest and most helpful I’ve encountered. 7 years agoStaff were very helpful but the sortiment is not large. They have all the obvious things but if you are after something more "specific" or a larger selection you may struggle. Maybe next time.

3 months agoRang Palmerston North Branch in respect to buying a large item not available (as most things aren't in Whanganui) very helpful and advised that the Whanganui store picks up items from them so probably could arrange an order through Whanganui. Rang Whanganui and recieved a lecture (from a very rude person) on how they never pick up items and that although their manager lives in Palmerston he is so over-worked he could not pick up anything. Basically a simple no we cant facilitate such a purchase would have surficed!!!!

5 months agoThis Bunnings is small and poorly managed, you go in to ask if they have something in stock or if they can get it for you and they blow you off and tell you to order it online or try else where. Today 23/3/25 I asked the old man behind the counter where the signs were, he stood there looking at us back and forth and said “Did you have a look?” When I asked him if they can get it in he said “They have those things at Animates, you should try there or just order it online.” Not friendly or helpful at all the service is very poor the majority of the time and they seem like they don’t want to be there.
