a year agoUpon going to kaikoura back not too long ago.. It was super cool it was friendly you could camp at meatworks or free camp around the area it was so so cool friendly andfun it was so free .. you could camp where you like and you meet up with your friends that was so awesome and now it's like you can't camp almost anywhere you have someone walking around telling you to get out by 7:00 in the morning it's really over policed as have someone walking around telling you to leave by 7:00 in the morning... Who the f gets up on holiday at 7.. feels like queenstown.. and who decided all this .. I won't stay there any more there's no spirit.. Now people just want to pass through now cos it's not easy to be there I used to be so open so kind.. it's not like that anymore.. bring back the days of friendly places beach fires . Bush parties.. it feels dead with terrible shops of things no one really wants .. there was one place thtvwas cool a forgot the name it wasza cofee shop now that's gone.. had a skull . And a guy who lived at meat works has moved on after 7 years living in the bush.. so sad to see this.. let's no havexa typical response of too much rubbish.. it was tht bad with free camping sure maby at new years, if people got too jolly.. hire someone to help clean those days not having someone walk around harrasing people .. hated it .. spirit has gone

5 years agoI was very impressed with the speed of getting more metal placed over the temporary culvert on Gillings Lne after notifing the council. This was after driving through with a trailer and also noticing a caravan bottoming out.
