Having rung the council 8 time over a 4 week period about a water leak, that started in the berm, then moved to the road , creating a pothole about 80cm in diameter, I wonder what we pay our rates for. I hear ads of the radio about saving water and how it is important blah blah blah, and yet water has been pouring out of this leak for a month! Shall I stop paying rates until it gets fixed? And don't tell me you're short staffed. We pay our rates and I expect decent service for that. Whoever is in charge of that needs to get their act together.

Prioritizing wealthy lake batch owners over indigenous treaty obligations, at Lake Rautokakahi is absolutely disgraceful, sending in 200 police in the dead of night to do violence to Maori on their own land. That's a special kind of evil

Now, parking fines no longer require evidence because evidence can be fabricated. Moreover, parking enforcement officers are very considerate and well-connected. If someone has connections, they don’t issue fines for overtime parking or simply “don’t see it.” They are truly understanding. Kudos to you all!

If I could give Zero stars I would. Has anyone else experience ongoing rate rises but the decline in the city is just getting worse? This council really needs to buck its ideas up because more and more residents are getting fed up with wasteful spending and a city decline.

Today my husband phoned Council to report water leak in the mains connection in Utuhina Road. Contractors were there within 2 hours, fixed issue with minimal impact on the property. Well done...appreciate the seamless speedy response!
