a year agoRecently had contact with a Female staff member at the Counties Manukau branch & she (Liz) was exceptionally rude & never stopped over talking me whilst in a telephone conversation. I wasted my time contacting these people I feel. I felt that they didn't really want to help at all.

4 years agoAs a volunteer visitor myself, I know the pleasure our clients get from either regular phone calls, or face-to-face chats, with these lovely folks, with perhaps, the occasional trip out for a cuppa !! If you have a little time to spare, then please do consider becoming a volunteer visitor with Age Concern. You will really enjoy the time sprnt with these folks.

3 years agoWe have to put our loved one into a rest home now thanks to Age Concern allowing her to continue to be abused and neglected by her daughter who is meant to be her caregiver. With just one visit this so called elder abuse response worker decided she was well and happy. Obviously a trainee without supervision or an incompetent advocate. No help, no support, no advocacy.

a year agoI have phoned Age Concern a couple of times but .. Once regarding my mother and she is 90yrs but they don't acknowledge anything... I phoned about abuse I was told to go somewhere else...
