Addington Gardens Care Centre

So pleased I visited Addington Gardens when asked to look for secure dementia care for a family member. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We chose one of the large, warm, ensuite rooms. The communal lounge is homely and open planned with many daily activities and visiting entertainment. I have confidence that this next stage in my relatives life is in good hands.

Both parents have enjoyed their time here. Dad has now passed however his care up until that point was wonderful. Mum is exceptionally happy here - the food, activities, facilities and staff are all fantastic.

Complete and utter neglect and incompetence.. The hospital is atrocious. Under staffed and incompetent staff if there are any about. My mum was dehydrated for three days due to their neglect only got a call from the doctor when she was being put in the ambulance after passing out. We pulled her out of the home immediately and nursed her ourseles at our house. Mum never recocered and passed away 2 weeks later despite our bear efforts. The paperwork displaying their in competence mysteriously vanished at their end though we did see it at the A & E. Don't let the the huge rooms fool you like they did us.. Easily the worst level of care, communication and responsibility of the three homes mum spent time in.

Lovely atmosphere and very kind, helpful, friendly staff. Good sized rooms for residents. Lots of entertainment

My dear dad.ended up in the dementia part of the hospital, the staff gave such love and care to my dear dad until he passed away sadly
