2 years agoCan be a bit difficult to find a park but there is a parking ot around the corners. Nice entrance with both outdoor and indoor seating. No cabinet ready made food but fresh sandwiches made to order. Menu of breakfast and some Cafe style foods. Loaded wedges were good. Burger and chips a good size. Fruit covered pancakes were enjoyed. Omelette left a bit to be desired. Friendly service. A bit of a wait due to our number being allocated wrong and not brought our food or drinks til we went in search of it as they couldn't find us. Seemed like a nice place but not sure about returning. Might try again.

11 months agoI visited Gisborne RSA on the 14th September and ordered a rare to medium cooked sirline steak with home made wedges and salard, the steak that I was served up was that close to well done it was almost cremated with about twenty five percent fat and gristle - I refuse to believe that a qualified cook had any part in cooking this steak, the wedges were well hidden in the copious amount of batter but the salard was nice - this meal cost me $35.00 - and expensive salard. I did complain to the waiter and he took my phone number - I thought that I might get a return phone call after my complaint - other customers seemed to get a nice meal but my meal is one that I wont forget in a very long time.

a year agoOn celebrating my mother's 80th birthday I would like to congratulate the RSA staff and the force restaurant Cafe staff for their hospitable and friendly service and making sure that the guests throughout this special event were looked after. A special thanks goes out to Catherine for organizing a bigger room for my mothers special day, Rianna (Bartender) and Kianna (Catering team) for your their support throughout the night.

2 years agoI love the kids play area, the coffee is always perfect but the baked goods can be a hit and miss. Last time I went, the scone had way too much baking soda and I couldn't finish it. On the other hand, my friend ordered a slice and it was beautiful.

2 years agoStayed Friday to Sunday in Gizzy and had breakfast on Saturday. Eggs benedict was so nice and a nice fillet slice of Salmon, unlike most places that use the flat packed stuff from the super market. Enjoyed it so much went back on Sunday with Family. Service top notch with pleasant staff to match. Wish we had this in Hastings:)
