10 years agoNot nearly as good as was promised. Maintenance and service is very slow and poor. My parents were sold a package where they pay over $6000 a year and it is meant to cover maintenance, yet lawns, weeding and pruning are not done. Basic fixes round the property can take many months to be completed. After my Dad died my mother has had to ask sometimes three or four times to get tasks done that may only take half an hour to complete. Whilst the sales staff are incredibly friendly, the management staff can be off-hand and blunt if you complain or ask for help. Mum recently had rusty window latches replaced (after 11 months of asking) but the new ones did not match, when she phoned the office she was abruptly told that if she wanted other ones she would have to go and buy them herself. Is it not unreasonable to expect that Summerset will care for the gardens and houses of our parents as well as if they were their own? Can it not be expected that all paying residents are treated with patience and respect?
