a year agoI've called in a few times while visiting Tauranga and feel strongly that what Annamarie and her team have achieved is remarkable. I assume it's the same old story ... little and shrinking funding, huge and growing need, with a handful of passionate and dedicated people bridging the gap. We should be judged by how we treat our most vulnerable. This should be a template for the rest of NZ, but the politicians are too far up their own bums to see that.

2 years agoAs a past client of Takatimu House, I can not fault this place in any way at all. Very comfortable and stress free place to stay, very welcoming to those in need. Everyone there feels like family. The full time staff really do go above and beyond to help their clients get their lives back on track in all areas. Amazing service!!!

a year agoThe success this organisation has had with the men, assisting them to a healthy, productive life, is truly astonishing. Of course there are always those who don’t want to make the changes, and unfortunately some revert to their earlier demons. It is a place who does not judge and respects every individuals needs. So many organisations don’t accomplish nearly as much as Takatimu House. Thankyou to the staff who put their clients safety first. Keep up the great work.

a year agoI remember when I first came here didn't like it how some idiots go behind your back and report to staff of minor issues, to try and look good, it's really a race to get a house first. I was kicked out cause staff went through my stuff under my bed without me knowing and found not alcohol but cardboard Cody's package empty how low can they go kicked out r cardboard while PPL were smoking meth in toilets and coming home drunk acting like muppets. Staff had no empathy for me kicked twice for no valid reason pathetic ppl
