2 months agoMy husband & I moved into NRV Feb 2008. Prior to this we lived locally in Ngunguru so it was a downsizing move which we have not regretted. We more or less just carried on the same lifestyle we had & without the upheaval of moving into Whangarei & leaving our local friends & activities & the lovely Tutukaka Coast. We have found Ngunguru Retirement Village a very satisfying & pleasant place to live with no problems at all. We chose this retirement lifestyle as we didn't want or need all the bells & whistles that went with the other bigger complexes & it is hence a lot more affordable option & enough organised social activities to keep one happy & close to outside options of entertainment.

2 months agoI have been at the Ngunguru Retirement Village for nearly 4 years and love it. What I really liked, was that there are only 38 homes and each one is different. It's quiet, friendly and close to the estuary and Tutukaka. There's a sports complex 5mins walk down the road and only 25min drive to Kamo. It's my happy place.
