I lived there for quite some time, the staff are ok I guess,Vincent house helped me when the life kept throwing me curve balls, pertaining to my mental health, the staff were very supportive and understanding at the best and worst of times,I've stayed at Vincent house more than on one occasion, Geoff, the manager is a not too bad of a person, but I believe his strengths lay in business rather than a cared mental health facility that supports people on there journey to recovery. I stayed in 2 of the units in the past maybe 3,also stayed in the hostel there where no one stays because it doesn't meet health and safety standards, there was no fire alarms or sprinkler system set up in the hostel, and it had a wood burning incineration unitvto heat water, very out dated, but it worked well when I was there staying in the hostel part of Vincent house,There is also a factory on-site that made picture frames, where I participated from time to time, just a bit of work to break the manotony of every day life, also my last time living there I worked full time at East Pac down number 1 road I think it was, well the road that takes you to manoeka,I did well there ,saved up bought a car ,and eventually was told I had to find else where to live but that's understandable,I am no longer on any medication and am doing well living in Auckland. But to be honest when I was there ,there was a bit of weed smoking going on, I was smoking weed insight, but drank off sight, there was a little under the radar activity going on ,but nothing major to call the S,A,S or police were never there either.Thats my personal experience and review, hope yall enjoyed the read and a first count observation through my lens.
