8 months agoCare suite rooms are of a good size. Contacting clinical staff and nursing staff by phone is challenging. Family of residents need to be vigilant to cleaning and care.

2 years agoThis is one of those services hat we ALL hope we never need! But from a personal perspective, what an absolute relief it was, to have such a facility for my terminally ill mother to move into and at a time she really did'nt want to leave her home of 65 years (but needed to). Extremely good staff and facilities and when combined with Te Omanga Hospice, they did all we could have asked for. Keep up the great work!!

6 years agoOur Mother, Dawn, was in Elderslea for almost three years before passing away mid-2018. She was in Lavender Lane for most of the time and then in the hospital wing. She received wonderful support and care from everyone at Elderslea but more than that she was treated with love and respect by the team. They made sure her makeup was on, her clothes and room were clean, and there were lots of activities for her to participate in. Mum did participate (even if she might not have always remembered!). It is not easy having to make the decision to put a parent into a care facility, but Elderslea made living with that decision much easier knowing Mum was receiving the best of care and opportunity to live as rich a life as possible.

4 years agoIf you're looking for a care facility for aged parents, dont look here. 4 years experience of this place, from my mothers admission to her passing, not happy, apart from a few good carers, mostly negative.
