6 months agoVERY long wait times. Go from being 14th in the queue to 11 to 5 to 13. When I’ve left a message, the Nelson office hardly ever answers. Don’t know the reasons, except short of staff possibly. New AlayaCare system will have three or more weeks without computer information about our cares. Told to phone for assistance, but this is scratchy at best. Have had evening meal help not until 8 or later. Support worker said she was double booked as the reason. This is NOT good service. Stress increases by these examples but irregularity of permanent care and times is the worst. Not looking forward to the computer system if it is the same. Wellington after hours helpful, but not able to really act on anything. Always referring us to Nelson, which gives inadequate service. I understand the health system is probably giving you grief, but that filters down to us clients. Hoping for some response. There ARE many good workers, but the system is a failure to us both.
