a month agoI’ve been with Access Community Health for 10 years now—and as a tetraplegic with some pretty high care needs, here’s what I’ve experienced: The team here is top notch. They’re trained to handle complex situations like autonomic dysreflexia and other spinal cord stuff, so I’ve always felt in safe hands They really tailor the support to match what I need—from personal care and daily living help to medical support and keeping me socially connected. Their “you do you” approach is great. They actually listen, involve me (and my whānau) in decisions, and respect my independence After a decade, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Access Community Health truly gets the complexity of high‑needs care, keeps you central in the process, and shows genuine respect and professionalism every day. They’ve helped me live confidently and independently at home—and for me that's huge I feel I have some control in the situation that I'm in. Clear communication from the team at Access when bad weather meant they could not get through. Beautiful support staff who 'work with their hearts' and love their work. Currently a full-time care giver, it’s been a great experience throughout – the support staff are always approachable, helpful, and friendly every time I pop into the office. It’s a supportive environment and I am grateful to be part of it!

3 weeks agoMy aunty has recently finished her cares with Access Community Health and the support staff were so lovely, prompt and always made her feel comfortable. For someone like herself, who has worked helping others her entire life to be the one receiving cares, was a shock for her but the support workers helped her journey to recovery. The office staff communicated well and if any changes were made, they called and let us know. Thank you Access for the support we needed and the help provided. Would happily recommend to whanau members in future.
