With over a century of history, All Saints’ Anglican Church is a beloved landmark in Palmerston North. Visitors admire its beautiful architecture and the welcoming environment that invites all to reconnect with their faith. The church offers a variety of worship experiences, from hymn-based services with choir to more contemporary music styles, catering to diverse preferences. Many find the 5pm service particularly relaxing and spiritually nourishing, complemented by friendly congregants and thoughtful preaching that challenges and inspires.

a year agoVisiting All Saints Church in Palmerston North was a fascinating experience. This Anglican heritage site, with its stunning English-Gothic architecture, really stands out. The current building, constructed in 1914 and consecrated in 1916, boasts beautiful stained glass windows that honor the church's founders, early parishioners, and World War I soldiers. There's also a poignant memorial lamp for the victims of the 1953 Tangiwai disaster. Despite its charm and historical significance, the church has faced some challenges. It was closed down after the 2011 Christchurch earthquake due to safety concerns. Even though you can't go inside, the exterior alone is worth a visit. The intricate design and rich history make it a must-see spot in Palmerston North.

a year agoThe church was not safe to go in by the council and so the Xmas service was held in the community hall.

3 years agoI find the 5pm Service relaxing and a place to reconnect with God after a busy day. The preaching is pertinent to our lives, includes a challenge to go deeper with God and the folk are friendly. I enjoy the choir and more hymn based service one fortnight and a different, a little more modern song style with keyboard and flute etc the other fortnight.
