Located in the heart of Auckland, Auckland Council at Victoria Street West serves as a key establishment in the city center. While it remains a primary point of contact for local governance, the council’s presence underscores its role in overseeing various community initiatives and services within Auckland’s bustling urban environment.

a month agoI am writing to bring to your immediate attention a matter of utmost urgency regarding the public and workplace safety at Address 374 Great South Road, Greenlane, Auckland 1051. It has come to our review that asbestos, a material known for its severe health risks similar to cancer, has been found on the canopy of a shop at the aforementioned address. This is particularly alarming as there are approximately 50 children who walk under this canopy daily on their way to our EduExperts One Tree Hill, which is located next door. The presence of asbestos poses a significant danger to the health and well-being of these children, as well as to the general public. It is disheartening to note that despite the grave risks involved, the authorities in charge of public and workplace safety have not taken immediate action. It is concerning that they are planning to address the issue only next week, showing a lack of regard for the safety of children and the public. I urge you to treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and take immediate action to ensure the safety of all individuals in the vicinity of Address 374 Great South Road Greenlane . It is imperative that the asbestos is removed promptly and that measures are put in place to prevent any further exposure to this hazardous substance. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to address this critical situation and safeguard the well-being of our community. Best regards, Sayed Hussaini

8 months agoWhen I'm lazy and elderly. pursuing a very strict work-life balance yet lacking enthusiasm for anything. I will chose to work for Auckland City Council since it's just a little better than being homeless or a loser.

2 years agoDid not have the option of choosing no stars BUT If there was an option of negative stars, then negative 1K would be my review on Auckland Council. Worst council ever!! broken promises, lies, lies and lies followed by excuses, excuses and more excuses. no regard to community or sports clubs. Several incidents where there have been NO LIGHTS at our venue (papatoetoe rugby football club) when some of The Blues players visited AND when our nursery U5 and U6 teams played - there have been NO LIGHTS ON AT ALL.... How is that safe?? AND HOW EMBRASSING FOR OUR CLUB?? Our juniors train from monday to friday. how can we not be able to use our fields when there are no lights? its stupid and not safe. our parents have to turn their car lights on for our kids to train. Dont ask us to train earlier; our parents work full time and our coaches are volunteers! Get our timetabled lights. Sort it out Auckland Council - we deserve better #gettingtiredofyourexcusesandbrokenpromises
