5 months agoMy father has been a day visitor and has regular respite care now for 2 years. Our family have found all staff at Beattie Home have been very caring and understanding to my fathers needs. Nothing is a problem. We love how we r always greeted with a cheerful hello and welcome. My father always enjoys his stays at Beattie Home and has formed friendships with some of the residents and day visitors. My family and I know dad is in safe caring environment at Beattie home.

5 months agoBoth of my parents were residents of Beattie Home for the last few years of life. The care and food provided was excellent. The entertainment staff, assisted by wide group of volunteers, ensured that life was never boring. More recently, my aunt was a resident for about five years, up until January 2025. She always spoke highly of the staff. In the last months, the ability to provide hospital level care was crucial, as she would otherwise have had to move to another rest home

5 months agoWhen my husband was diagnosed with a neurological condition, it meant our lives would change forever. He requires Hospital level care now. Our family is very fortunate to be able to have him in full-time care at Beattie Home & Hospital Otorohanga. We were both born and live in this district, we also raised our family here. So it is important that we are able to continue being part of it. The caring community and staff at Beattie Home & Hospital are invaluable to our peace of mind and entrusting them to care for our loved ones. When life throws you a lemon, you make lemonade. 5 months agoOur mum was a resident at Beattie Home for about 14 months. Our dad joined her in Beattie Home then later was moved to Papakainga Homestead. Dad was there in total for around 8 months. Even though they ended up in different parts of the facility staff made sure they were able to see each other regularly. The care mum and dad received was fabulous. Staff are absolutely brilliant to residents and also very caring to family. A huge thank you from our family

4 months agoMy Nana has been a resident at Beattie Home for the past 6 months. The care she receives and the activities she gets to participate in are both great. All of the staff at Beattie Home are friendly and out going. Seeing my Nana enjoy her own room with ensuite has made the transition into aged care so easy for my family.
