I'm a volunteer help for the blind foundation. These people do an outstanding service to the community, but they can never have too many helpers, especially drivers. All you need is a good reliable car, a clean driving licence, and are able to pass a police check. You will come into contact with some truly amazing visually impaired people, who are very courageous in their everyday life, doing so many things that you and I take for granted every day. You will be reimbursed at a rate of 72 cents per km, which very good. So if you have some spare time, or want to do something very worthwhile and rewarding, contact the New Zealand Blind Foundation, Braile House, Wellington.

My wife works for the blind foundation and low vision and I'm so glad because I love elderly people and those who are blind as well as those who are physically handicapped. I normally go out and visit them but I'm not sure about the restrictions for level 2 due to COVID-19.

Being a volunteer help for the Blind Low Vision NZ, I have been in this building many times and met many of the people. These people, and the blind, low vision people that they work and help, do an amazing job, fully deserving all of our support and assistance.

Blv doesn't know how to help blind people anymore. Talk about money hungry and horrible. So much staff turn over! Those who stay are bad at their job, or have no other choice
