9 months agoI cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care received at St Johns dementia unit Epsom. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that this facility prioritizes the well-being and dignity of its residents. The Manager Jenny Vollmer and the staff is not only highly trained but also incredibly compassionate. They take the time to understand each resident’s individual needs and preferences, creating a tailored approach to care that truly makes a difference. The team is attentive, engaging, and always ready to lend a helping hand or a comforting word. The environment is warm and inviting. The decor is cheerful and homelike, which helps residents feel comfortable and secure. Activities are thoughtfully planned and cater to various interests, promoting engagement and social interaction among residents. I’ve seen my LO participate in activities that have sparked joy and provided a sense of accomplishment. Communication with families is also a strong point. The staff keeps me informed and involved, which gives peace of mind knowing that our loved ones are in good hands. They are always available to answer questions and provide updates, fostering a supportive community for both residents and their families. Overall, I highly recommend CHT St Johns for anyone seeking a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones living with dementia. The dedication and kindness of the staff truly make it a home away from home. Thank you, for all that you do. Warm regards Stacey Lee'Rivers

4 years agoOur father was in the hospital part of this facility for almost a year. My sister and I chose this place for his ongoing care due to his frequent hospitalizations previously. Our father passed away 12 December 2020. We were fortunate to have a primary caregiver for the morning shift and a primary caregiver for the afternoon shift. It was an honor to know these amazing women and also the nurses who were responsible for his care. There were health care assistants who also took care of him on a daily basis . As a family we will always remember your gracious time, your care and most of all your kindness to our father. Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for maintaining his dignity and giving him respect. You informed us of his last days ensuring we were aware and needed to be prepared as best we could. This enabled us to be present with him as he drew his last breath. We will forever remember the sacredness of family...and how St John's was also part of our family. May God bless your calling in service to our elderly, what an amazing honor. Thank-you, on behalf of our late father David Rongo and family.

a year agoI've been very happy with my dad's care who has been there for 9 mths so far. Edit 1 yr later, my dad passed and the care in his final week of palliative care was excellent in suite 2.
