Columbus Coffee at Mitre10 MEGA Tauranga

Lovely place, nice coffee, quick service. However, stars are based off the fact that a month ago i decided to try a brownie, and being someone who's not into them accidentally found the best brownies ever. Ive enjoyed eggs on toast and french toast here but never thought id enjoy a brownie...perfect!

This cafe has gone to the pack! Such a shame... Food was average, to say the least. Staff all look morose and look like they wish they were somewhere else. Cafe is clean enough, but the rock music jangling in the background does not suit the ambience of the room. Won't be wasting my money here... Who serves Poached eggs on toast in a bowl... 2 of the smallest eggs I've ever seen a bit of dry toast and some un seasoned and dry fried mushrooms beside... $21... really...

When you enter a cafe first, the aroma of coffee should surround the space. Second, the atmosphere should be good. Third, coffee must taste good. This cafe passed!! It's a pass. Even the dessert food ordered as a side is really delicious. So, I introduce this cafe to my friends. Of course, I also come often when the time is right.

Busy cafe very popular with retirees. Plenty of parking in mitre 10 mega large carpark. Efficient polite staff, food was very nice and arrived in good time. Right next to the garden centre which is well worth a wander.

Not my usual meal today, wedges/sour cream/bacon. Bacon pieces well buried under sour cream, and when found was very disappointed to find about 1/3 the usual amount. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered here at all today, two of owner's family members stood opposite me as I waited to be served, while they muttered between them in their native tongue, and took their time before attending to me. Used to be a lot smarter at the counter and with a smile, also lacking today. Judging from other commenters very recently, I would suggest staff training be a priority. My 5 star service came from a long serving staffer.
