At Colwyn House, Management and staff are doing what we, the family, cannot do for our loved ones. We want the best care for them. Colwyn House is continually striving to improve and up skill staff, They have compassion and respect for residents and actually get to know them as everyday people, and not clients or patients. The care they gave my uncle after passing was so respectful it makes me emotional, I know I was there. My sister and I watched him go from residential care to palliative care and were always updated continually, until his final moments in which we were present at his final breath. My sister and I, are grateful to Colwyn house, and when you visit regularly, you get to know staff and residents and y'know, its Allgood. Check it out.

Colwyn Life care was an amazing place for my father George to end his days. The love, kindness and respect the staff gave him and my mother was outstanding. Yes, it was hard to watch but we were allowed to stay all day and all night to be with him until the end and he died with dignity in accordance with his expressed wishes. Unfortunately another family member in their grief has clearly missed some key facts and the view that they have expressed is not shared by the rest of the family who were with him full-time in the weeks leading up to his death.

My father recently spent the last 6 days of his life at Colwyn House. The staff took the utmost care of him and also my mother who was able to stay over night with him. They had been married for 60 years. Thank you to the manager Donna who was also very supportive to my mother.

The staff looked after our dad with dignity and care. They made my whole family even the grandchildren feel comfortable nd welcomed when visiting our dad. The food.is.fantastic, they are definitely well fed. The staff are absolutely wonderful and want to.give special regards to Venice dad's main carer and to the Director Donna. Donna you are such a respectful and beautiful person showing kindness and compassion and very understanding . You always had time to listen to.our feedback. We thanku to u and your team at Colwyn for.a job well.done and everything you have done for our beautiful dad.

I have no complaints about the care of my wife who has Dementia but the manager has a lot to learn about diplomacy. This is why my wife has been in day care for 6 months and because of Covert 19 this closed the Hasting DHB have made me put her into Long-Term Residential Care filled out the form for Colwyn House in front of manager. After doing so he said now you need a form for WINS support payment when asked if had one he said no so I spent two day of my work time chasing this up WINS did not no sent me to NASC they sent me back to WINS they then put me on to Telephone Number where it was sorted they sent him form then i ask for written invoice of how much it would cost me he got up tight and would supply me with one he was arrogant when my daughter went into see about it and he walk off and left her standing there with no invoice. Pulled my wife out of Colwyn House until get some thing in writing.
