Crew Community Resources in Whakatane is a nice place that you can get many things you want to maintain and decorate your house. This is a second-hand variety shop in good conditions such as dishes and blows c20- $1 each, a Bookshelf $15 and luggage ~$7 each etc. Also, some of them are still new but needs to be clean. There are 2 levels inside for the furniture, house decorations, books, music records, kitchen stuff, and hardware. Besides, there is heavy stuff such as sinks, baths, doors, windows and other outdoor decorations in the outside of the shop where you can see when you drive in. All staff are nice, friendly and helpful. Nonetheless, there is not a big car park.

My sort of shop. It's like an opshop but also has building materials and scrap metal etc. You never know what you'll find. There were good kayaks there last time. I needed a boat steering helm and found one here for $5
