a year agoWell, what can I say but YUM! I ordered a couple of "Double Fix" packs - offering 2 pieces of chicken; Drum Stick and a Thigh as well as a "Regular" sized chips. I also ordered 4 of the Spicy Tenders. Returning home with my loot, the car was filled with an incredible aroma, with multiple spices and herbs overlaying the smell of freshly cooked chicken. While adhering to the speed limit, I put my foot down on the accelerator a little more. Arriving home, I prepared a couple of plates, and without further ado, I tried a chip. Well, this is where my surprise began. The chips were crisp and fresh, cooked perfectly in what tasted like very clean oil, and were flavoured with a nice light dusting of salt imbued with some subtle, classically Indian style spices. They were amazing. To quote my wife, "The best chips I've had in some time" and I have to agree. Moving on to the chicken, our experience was further enhanced as this was cooked perfectly. Moist, fresh and coated with a delicious crispy layer, again with and Indian spin that perfectly complimented the chicken. There is a light spicyness to the coating, but wifey was happy to chomp through it, even though she is a bit sensitive to spicy food. The chicken tenders were also moist and tasty, and while the coating was a bit lighter, there was a definite intentional fire in this, as expected, and these were amazing. As for the price , the whole meal cost me just over $30 - You won't get this sort of value from any of the other local chicken outlets, secret herbs or not. A well-earned 4 stars here. I encourage you to give them a go, you won't be disappointed!

8 months agoThis store has improved so much under the new management! It’s much cleaner compared to how it was with the previous owners. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience pleasant. Everything is now well-organized and easy to find, with clear pricing displayed. Highly recommend checking it out!

12 months agoSo lucky to have access to essential Sri Lankan ingredients, right in Stoke! I no longer make the mistake of thinking I can carry out my purchases in my hands. I definitely bring a bag with me now, because there is always some tempting/interesting/unusual produce that catches my eye. I love the clay cooking pots, the drumstick (Moringa oleifera) found in the frozen Sambhar mix, the jelabi and the Sri Lankan curry pastes. Hardworking Garima is always so lovely and ready to help find any elusive ingredients.
