2 years agoI live overseas and had to make the difficult decision for my aunt to go into a rest home. While in NZ I visited a number of different homes but the decision to choose Duart Havelock North, was swayed by the care and empathy of Sam, the Business and Care Manager. Sam helped me navigate the complexities of a health system I was unfamiliar with and understood the personal and emotional aspect of someone needing to go into care and their family. My aunt entered Duart in June 2023 and I had to return home soon after. My aunt has no family in NZ but the staff have embraced her and made her feel welcome and loved. I speak with her regularly each week and she has nothing but praise for her carers. The staff keep me informed of her needs and notify me of any changes. Although a very hard decision to make I feel at peace with the decision to choose Duart knowing my aunt is receiving the best of care not only physically. Thank you Andrea, Sarah and many others.

2 years agoMy Mum has been in Kirkpatrick House now for nearly 5 years. She is looked after extremely well by all the nursing staff and carers particularly Andrea and Sarah. It has given my husband and I peace of mind to know that we are able to go away for a holiday knowing that Mum is in safe hands. We would not hesitate to recommend Duart Restcare to others.

2 years agoMum has been at Duart for past couple of years, in the Resthome and now Level 1 Hospital Care. Staff are great, communications are great, Mum is treated with dignity and respect, along with a healthy dose of laughter and fun. We as a family would recommend Duart wholeheartedly. A wonderful team, thank you.

a year agoMy Mum moved to Duart later this year and she often tells us how happy she is there. Already she has made lovely friends with fellow residents and staff. I always leave happy that she is treated with dignity and well cared for. Many thanks Pauline 😁

2 years agoMoved my mother to Duart in 2022, and the staff could not have been better. They give my mother the attention she needs, and she is happy & comfortable. Even her occasional troublesome-ness is met with good humour by Sam, Andrea & Sarah.
