Flaxmore Lifecare

Flaxmore provides excellent care of our mother. She is so happy there and the staff are so caring that she thinks she lives in a hotel! Flaxmore is not the newest care facility in town but what it lacks in flash furnishings is more than made up for by the personal care and respect provided by the staff and having had experience of both we are well qualified to compare. The grounds are beautifully kept and the meals nutritious. The recreation staff kept the residents well occupied and stimulated with a variety of crafts, events, celebrations and outings. We regularly receive photos of our mother enjoying an activity.

Right from my wifes entry to Flaxmore the management ensured there were no difficulties with the paperwork or any administrative requirements, nothing was a bother. Her room was warm and cosy and staff welcoming. The care and concern for her welfare and comfort was exceptional despite the ongoing problems with staffing that lots of organisations are also having. During a serious health setback the staff were amazingly compassionate and couldn't do enough for her and my welfare. There are some very experienced and wonderful people on the staff at Flaxmore who became friends rather than staff!

Thankyou. I find this facility, staff and management exceeded my expectations from the day my wife,Sue Steffens, was admitted as a resident. The premises are always clean and tidy with well kept grounds. Staff are friendly, helpful and always available to help residents and visitors alike. They are at all times friendly, cheerful and with a ready smile. (lots of laughter). The team environment working here is a positive reflection on the management style that exists in this facility. I can't fault the management style, any staff member, from cleaners, kitchen staff, care givers, nursing staff or the maintenance man. These people show a great level of commitment to the well being of all they care for. Roger Steffens.
