a month agoI went to Foursquare to buy a bottle of wine and was refused service because my passport is from Mexico. I presented my valid, government-issued Mexican passport, which is legally recognized in New Zealand as acceptable ID for alcohol purchases. I even spoke to the manager, who told me they wouldn’t accept it. Unfortunately, it was clear she was not properly informed, as the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 clearly states that a valid passport — from any country — is one of the three legal forms of ID for purchasing alcohol in New Zealand (alongside an NZ driver licence and a Kiwi Access Card). Denying me service based solely on my nationality felt discriminatory and unacceptable. This kind of treatment undermines New Zealand’s values of fairness and inclusivity. I hope Foursquare provides proper training to ensure this doesn’t happen to others.

7 months agoHad the time of my life at cooper’s beach four square... a charming young lady was quick to assist when I handed her my list (I didn’t know where everything was) and was happy to help when I broke a bottle of oil in front of her. She seemed very enthusiastic as she took me to the checkouts and left with a smile… beautiful service, I will be shopping here again. Thanks

6 years agobeach all around, peaceful small town, at this moment not too many people at beach, this is real new Zealand attractions, I love this place
