Four Square Hillcrest

A great mini supermarket. Specials galore. Stocks virtually everything one needs for the last minute dash for ingredients and the old bread and milk. With disability parking it caters for all and sundry. The Four Square brand is everything it ever claimed to be. With uber eats on board you can order to your hearts content and get pretty much anything you want.

Got overcharged for a kapati ice cream ($4.90), apple/blackberry pie (reduced to $3.83) and custard (reduced to $4.23). I got charged $15.78 and went back in because they scanned the wrong barcode and they were super lovely about it and we subtracted the amount I was charged by the amount it should have been (15.78-12.96=2.82) and started to get me a refund but needed the supervisor. He came down and refunded me $0.90 and I said we had calculated it to be $2.80 and he said he just refunded the items and recharged me and it was $0.90. I’m not sure where he got that from but I was still overcharged and am quite disappointed with the outcome.

Go for the chicken and chips if nothing else. Very well priced chicken, compared to the likes of everywhere else. Tasty, too! Edit after 2 years: The price is a bit steep now. It is no longer priced better than other places that sell fried chicken. The quality has not increased at the same rate as the price.

Good laundromat, cashless and hassle free but wasn't well signed that you can also use small washers not just a medium washer.
