2 months agoI had an unpleasant experience this evening at the self-checkout area of Four Square in Queenstown, which left me with a negative impression of the store. We picked up a small piece of garlic (about 35 grams, priced at 2.35 NZD) and were surprised at how expensive it was. We asked how to remove the item, and a female staff member came over. Unfortunately, she responded with a cold and unfriendly attitude, saying only one sentence: “You want to remove this?”—then completed the process in silence. Later, when I realized I had forgotten to collect the receipt, I returned to ask for it. Once again, her demeanor was unwelcoming—no eye contact, no response, and not a single word, even when I thanked her. Overall, the customer service was extremely poor. Her behavior made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. It’s disappointing to have such an experience in what is otherwise a beautiful town. The store should seriously consider improving its customer service by fostering a more respectful and friendly environment.

a month agoBeen here almost every day this week visiting Queenstown. Obviously prices are a little jacked up compared to Woolworths but also much better priced than the smaller delis in town. Always busy but flows well. Because it’s busy can run out of some stock but expected.

4 months agoExtremely rude staff when I had bagging issues. Also, there was a bug in my bag of salad leaves - they refused to give a refund and were extremely rude about it, no customer service at all. They didn’t even say a basic “sorry this happened”. Check all your fresh produce people, even the sealed bag of salad leaves which says “triple washed”.
